About
Jessica Glover is an English contemporary artist based in Sotogrande, Spain. Known for her striking acrylic works on Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) panels, Jessica's large-scale pieces are deeply influenced by the vibrant surroundings of Sotogrande.
With a strong personal connection to Sotogrande, Jessica's art reflects the essence of the area. The colour schemes of her works are inspired by the hues of local buildings, the picturesque marina, and the breathtaking sunsets over the river. Her designs draw directly from the landscape, whether capturing the sweeping views of Gibraltar and Africa, the distinctive shapes of the beaches and riverbanks, or the iconic palm tree-lined scenery.
Jessica's studio, located in Plaza Blanca, is where she brings these inspirations to life. Despite not having a traditional contemporary artist background, Jessica's unique journey began with a degree in Computer Science from the University of Bath. This technical foundation has significantly influenced her artistic journey, leading to a distinctive fusion of technical precision and creative exploration.
Her work, characterised by an intuitive blend of bold colour and form, resonates with a sense of place and personal history, offering a vivid representation of the beauty and complexity of Sotogrande.
